Agree thank you once again, the thread was very helpful , crazyquilter...soon i will be up and running and showing off my collection....just hang in there... and to learn more from all the Stamp Bear families.
Thank you so much, crazyquilter , for updating the pictures. This thread is extremely helpful!
On a side note, the only way of getting hold of philatelic supplies here in India is via Amazon/ eBay/ few online stamp stores. Most of the stuff is pretty expensive, what with the import fees etc. So trying to save up where I can. Though I've been on a bit of a spending spree for the past month.
Have a few India made stockbooks that have housed my childhood collection for almost 15 years now. They're made by Archie's Gallery, basically the Indian Hallmark, and they've held up surprisingly well. Will graduate to Lighthouse stockbooks after saving up and hopefully once my collection is big enough.
I've ordered the Stanley Gibbons India 2018 catalogue, should arrive in a couple of weeks. Expensive but should be worth it. The IndiaPost stamp list page has been down for quite some time now. Been sorting my stamps based on websites made by passionate Indian philatelists so far, bless 'em.
Also ordered a cheap pair of China made tongs from eBay, hope they'll do the job. Plus some on-paper kiloware from Germany and the US.
Next on my list, Zippo lighter fluid from Amazon. A coffee jar plastic lid should do the trick as a watermark tray.
Speaking of coffee, been looking at stamps online late into the night. I think I should stay away from my stamps and eBay for a while. Getting obsessed.
