I have had the stamp below in my collection for quite a while now and have long wondered about the "cancellation" on this stamp if that is what it is. Perhaps our members can help me out.
This is a pretty common Indian stamp from the colonial period, Scott no. 82. My puzzle is why does it have what looks to me like a Chinese seal stamp or chop on the bottom? I have wondered whether it is possible the stamp was used in Hong Kong....any one have any hints?
