...as I see, Photobucket made change in policy of "third part posting", so, it is now impossible to upload Your photo. There is one "ransom" option of 300+ $ per year, and You will have possibility to post Your photo around. Still don't see if we, here on "StampBears" have another option?!
Personal experience of over 30 years, in dealing with Yugoslavia and ex-Yugoslavia countries.
There are other 3rd party hosting sites that can be used. Unfortunately, we are unable to host the images ourselves due to the dramatic increase in costs that this would bring to the site. While we occasionally do fund drives, and we receive some donations that amount required to host images on this site would make this process a requirement, or we would have to become a paid site (which I refuse to have happen).
That said there is still Flickr.com, Google, and other hosting sites that are free to utilize.
Just a little input.............. I'm using Flicker and so far I'm finding it's working pretty well.
And you guys out there with web sites - Are you aware of any kind of Image Hosting features or software that can run from your web space? I've kind of looked at some of the apps in the Fantasitico back-end of my C-Panel and I can't find anything.

Phil, I simply upload .jpg files one by one to the ~/public-html/graphics/ subdirectory associated with my domain. The site keeps the filenames I apply to each image as it comes off the scanner, so at least they have names I can remember, like italy-umberto.jpg instead of 923883719.jpg. I also use a text expander, FastKeys, so when I click on the "Insert Image" icon, I can just type img6 and, in a metamorphosis that I find magical, FastKeys spells out the entire URL except for the ***.jpg part. (I have a slightly different expand-o-trigger for Bulgarian stamps, which have their own subsubdirectory.) I haven't found a bulk uploader for the CPanel file manager, nor have I found anything else on there that is substantially easier than what I'm already doing.
FastKeys also has autocomplete and macro functions and is pretty efficient in sitting in the taskbar and not taking up a lot of memory or processing power. Check it out at its bare-bones website. No such systemwide utility exists in Linux, nor can it; back when I was running Linux full-time, I did as much as possible in Emacs, even though when you get right down to it I'm not smart enough to run Emacs.
mourningdoves, I' had kind of being doing the same thing but uploading to one of my my Wordpress installations. I could probably get the same results just using FTP to a folder like you. Problem is I got about 5 websites and I'm a little conscience about space and bandwidth. They say I have unlimited but I really don't believe them. I had used Flicker before for some other projects so I thought I'd give it a try. It supplies the embed code so it's pretty easy to share images. Of course Google is an option too to look at. I guess I've been toying with the idea of starting an image hosting source for stamp collectors (and maybe some other hobbies) but I really haven't found much. I was hoping some other collectors here might be aware of something.

Phil, Uhh, yeah, I usually upload 3 or 4 pictures at a time so I can get by with a horse-and-donkey approach. You might get some ideas from this discussion on Reddit, which has a better signal-to-noise ratio than most discussions on Reddit.
I know what you mean about "unlimited" not necessarily meaning "unlimited", but the host owners may be more worried about video and multimedia at this point; .jpg's are real estate chump change by comparison.
