Looks nice, but to me, like the first gallery - Chevereto, it has some limits. Not the least of which is there are no albums, sub-categories or tags. The author has assured me those features are in the plans but there is no schedule to add them. It also get the impression that I will not be very impressed with support from the author. Try it out and, unless someone can offer another choice, I think the choices will be among those 3.
I tried registering in the new host and below the password n there is a statement "Type these words" but there are no words displayed or a place to type them.
I checked in Chrome and Firefox...same issue.
I don't think English is the author's first language. I think what he means is that those fields are required. You should just be able to fill it out normally but I'm running into another problem. It's asking me to fill out a captcha field and I don't see any such field. Does anyone else get this?
Phil, sorry I'm late in the game on this thread. I'll have more time (hopefully) next week, look through the thread, and see what I can do to help (or if I can't help, then at least make things more confusing ).
I do not think the new version is as user friendly. You have to scroll down more to upload, etc. Also, after the upload, you see the all uploads and then need to select what you uploaded in order to share (get access to link info).
The 3rd one, Coppermine is very different from the other 2. It is very configurable and the templates are easy to edit. It's not as "cutting edge" as the other 2 in the visual department, but I've seen some very clean looking themes and sites. But it is a little dated and I get the impression updates are few and far between. But then again, the other 2 don't get updated a lot either.
Forgive me for coming into this late... Just checking: there is no set procedure here for somehow getting Photobucket links "updated" or "fixed", correct? I finally started posting stamps and now they are not allowed to be displayed... amazing... I've already vented about Photobucket's decision on another forum, and won't bore you all here with a repeat typing. BUT... I will say, I am not amused...
There is no set "procedure". As long as members don't abuse the editing privilege, stamp bears can go back and update their image links. Currently there is no time limit to editing, like there is at some other forums. It is greatly appreciated if you update your links, as we recognize the amount of work involved.
If someone has quoted your original post, you cannot update the link in their post, but you can PM me and I will edit their post to update the link in their quote.
