Ok, it's time to start collecting France!

As a general stamp collector I like to have new areas to collect. I never had a close look at stamps from France, so it's time. But I will limit it. I think starting with the period 1950 to 1980 wold be ok. I have some stamps in two stock books, but have rarely opened them. they where came to me together with other stuff I bought at auction.

Yes, have already visited them an there was lot of good stuff.
I understand picture is a important part of this forum, we like to se stamps and what other people work with. So I had to dig out my printer/scanner and do a install on my laptop.
Tried it out on some stamps going into my French collection.

Hm , not happy with the colors. Was fine until I uploaded to "See my stamps". Picture of the Castle should be more red and more green/blue in the Bok stamp.

I have started making some album pages. Print them in color. I might make the stamp print smaller. Looks to much as a real stamp?

Yes, I've always preferred stamp illustrations in gray-scale rather than color -- even when smaller, with my poor eyesight, the illustration looks too much like the real stamp.

Someone spent time searching for great cancelations. Your page posted is amazing. As a world wide collector, I try to limit myself til pre 1960 stamps. Just started to organize my French collection. Thanks for the inspiration.
