Nothing stampy this week, clearing work stuff for now before I go off to the Tri-nations Exhibition held in Malaysia starting this Friday. Some members from my stamp club (Kreta Ayer Stamp Society) will be showing their exhibits in competition so I'm going there to check it out. Also to check out the stamp dealers there and hopefully get some stamp supplies.

I like my stamps used. Collects selectively - Iceland, Canal Zone/Panama (Postal History) + other random philately I love my Stamp Bears family !
Tonight I'm preparing for a big stamp happening in Antwerp, Belgium, next month. There will be lots of dealers, and I want to make sure my "already-have list" is up to date. I use an old catalogue for that. Just want to make sure I don't buy the same things twice.
Yes, it will be a lot of fun. It happens twice a year and there are hundreds of dealers with a good portion of them selling what I'm interested in (French & Dutch former colonies). Last time I went, I spent way more than I'm willing to admit to my wife. I found some very good deals, but I also bought some (expensive) stamps that were already in my collection. This time around I'm not going to let this happen (the buying the same thing twice I mean, the overspending will probably happen again). I will take some pictures.
My stampy ways have been experiencing a drought for the last couple of weeks. That should change for the next month or so while I recover from surgery. I have quite a bit of sorting and cataloguing to do.
Today I am sorting a handful of glassines of used WW stamps.Plus I feel like working on more new US stamps on paper. The video of the man soaking the stamps in lighter fluid was just what I needed to try this. Can't wait until the hubby brings home the camera.(Oh yes I missed him) The album with every stamp in a mount will be first on my list.
This is a picture of the Senior Statesmen album with every stamp in a mount.
I am a used World wide stamper. Always have been and always will bee.
Haven't had a chance to really enjoy being stampy. Family issues come first. Work has been very crazy also. Today is my wind down day and catching up with some yard work. I have received about 4,000 precancels in the past month that sooner or later I have to sort and put into albums.
I showed my brother, my sister-in-law and her mother my treasure trove of 77 covers and post cards found in Toronto earlier this month. They actually sat there and seemed to be interested in at least some of them - perhaps surprised at the variety I`d found! (They`re not usually even vaguely interested in philately!) They liked my two "socked in the mouth" stamps that I showed them on my camera, too! (See our string).
