Last night Jen and I watched the first instalment of The Hollow Crown, a TV adaptation of some of Shakespeare's history plays. This instalment was the play Henry VI part 1. It is superbly done. If it comes to North American screens, do watch it. But don't believe Shakespeare was historically accurate - he followed the Tudor propaganda version of what happened (and would not have been allowed to do otherwise) but made great drama out of it.
Watching the overall final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year, with a French horn player, a saxophonist and a cellist each playing a concerto. Just seen the 17-year-old saxophonist play a hugely virtuosic concerto by Michael Nyman with great panache, coping brilliantly with sudden transitions from fast irregular dance rhythms to slow soulful long notes. She wore a jacket with pictures of the late David Bowie and was dancing in the relatively few passages when the orchestra was playing without her.
I detest Jose Bautista ... have forever. Also have a vested interest in the Rangers as a former student/ballplayer now coaches for them. I looked and did not see him (former student) in the scrum ... but Odor clocking "Joey Bats" goes down as my favorite moment of the season so far.

I'm with belti. For the next few weeks I'm only watching football. Euro 2016 that is. And I wait till after the games to read the news so I don't get any spoilers (I record the games and watch them later in the day)
