I have been using this site for a year or more and never had a problem..

How to add a smiley, or avatar image, to a post:

1.  From the site find a smiley, or avatar, that you wish to insert in the message
2.  Right click the image and select  Copy image address
3.  In the thread menu bar click on Insert Image
4.  In the Insert dialog box, using CTRL+V, paste the image address into Image URL:
5.  In the Insert dialog box click Insert Image

The problem when replacing our system smileys is that the smileys in the older posts sometimes get messed up. However, one can always insert our own smileys manually in our posts. Nice resource!
