Any recommendations on Books about Malta Errors / Varieties

Hi

One of my areas of collection is Malta and I was wondering if anyone can recommend any books or other literature (including any online resources) of further information about errors and varieties on Maltese stamps.

I have the JB catalogue for Malta stamps which lists the major varieties but I was wondering if anyone can recommend any other material ?

In terms of commercially available printed works, you won't get better than the JB.

Everything else is just articles loosely published here and there. As with the US stamps (or any area, for that matter), your best bet is usually to join a specialist society that would have a group focusing on the printing and production. For US stamps, this would be the United States Stamp Society (formerly the Bureau Issues Association).

For Malta, if you have not done so already, you might want to consider joining The Malta Study Circle and/or The Malta Philatelic Society. Perhaps they might have an index of their articles/journals, or plan on publishing a book.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Actually I am a member of the Malta Philatelic Society too and I receive their journal quarterly which I find very interesting. Unfortunately their online presence if fairly limited and they do not provide access to old issues of the journal.
