Looks like some sort of ration stamp or undenominated receipt stamp? May I ask in what kind of lot/collection/accumulation it was found?

Found in an old collection that was mainly King George V - King George VI, so perhaps ration stamp is the most likely.

OK, thanks for the additional info. Most rationing stamps/coupons have a number on it to indicated its "quantity" value. That's why I had edited my post to mention the possibility of receipt stamps.

By the way, I not sure, but I think you have those red cinderellas upside-down.

I flipped your cinderellas upside-down, and the design looks very much like a traditional post box!

I'm leaning toward some sort of postal cinderella now, but still can't find anything. This is an interesting cinderella, and I don't even collect cinderellas!

guyana1230, could you please provide a close-up of one of the red cinderellas? I'm looking at the stamp after rotating 180º and I think I see the numbers "0" and "1" at the base of the "wreath". It's too blurry "as is" when I enlarge the pic. Thanks!

I remember reading that in UK at Christmas time .... numeous different local organisations similar to the boy scouts would have christmas post boxes organised at vairious places in there towns/villages and locally deliver christmas cards (cheaper than GPO) in there area for a small fee to raise funds for charity,they produced there own stamps which would be affixed to the envelope and delivered.

This was not legalized until 1981, so all the catalogs of these types of labels start at 1981. But I don't think you are far off the mark. Now that I see the enlarged pic, those are not numbers but just part of the ribbon design. So I think it is some charity label as Martyn and you have suggested.
