Souvenir Sheets have come a long way!

This is a 1940 Japan Souvenir Sheet Scott #306A. This is the oldest SS that I have seen. The SS sure were made big in the old days. Some people put SS on envelopes. Sure glad no one did that to this SS.

I like todays SS and I have a few but I am not really interested in collecting them because of the price. Let us know how you feel about them. And show us your favorites.

Personally i like SS.. and i like them better used...

granted i generally soak them off but over all i really do like the way they look on cover..

as to my favorite... hmmmmm that is a hard call... i will have to look and see if i can pick just one (and attempt to scan it in!!)

I agree with you that the Japanese ones seem to be the most elegant. Used to have them all used, but ended up selling my used Japan collection in '75 or so when I quit stamping for the second time. Shucks, I wish I hadn't.
