Yes, apparently we're under an advisory right now.  

I'm about 30 miles inland, so if it hits me, then we're all in a lot of trouble ...

(But this is why I can't watch movies like that one that came out earlier this year ...)

Just read the detailed message on my phone, where it went off as an emergency alert.  (Law enforcement has also tweeted/texted as well.)

Turns out it would be expected to hit the Los Angeles area at about 4:45 tomorrow morning.

Philatarium, We had a tsunami alert; it was to reach us around 3 a.m., but it petered out.
