Looks like we will be traveling to Coral Gables, FL. in the future.

Our route should take us thru Pensacola, Tallahassee, Lake City, Gainesville, Orlando, Boca Raton, etc.

I live in Mississippi and have traveled to Alabama and Western Florida several times. Been to Miami Airport a couple times.

I really enjoyed our trips to Florida, but we won't be going this year. I haven't been to Boca Raton and Coral Gables before, but the other places I've been through. I'm a beach guy, so Pensacola was great. My oldest daughter has been to Miami, but not me.

If you like to go hunting for small shells, don't miss out on going to Sanibel Island just offshore from the Fort Myer area. We enjoy every visit there. A few hours and you can pick up a few hundred nice damage-free small shells. I'm a big fan of baby shells, especially the olive and cone shells. Lots of variety, but scallops and slippers will dominate.

It looks like you may be taking the northern and Atlantic route, so it's not on your path, unless you take different routes to/from Coral Gables.
