new to stamp bears - collecting since 1978

hi 

recently I have been looking to go back to my stamps and decided to unpack the bags and packages and dig into everything I got

wow, I didn't realise what I had collected in the first 20 years of my stamp collecting.

the last 20 years have been devoted to family and personal growth.  now its back to collecting.

I'm based in Hong Kong.  run a apparel business

and collect all stamps and coins.  

it would be good to learn more about stamps and what I have on hand.

will begin posting bits tomorrow.

I started collecting at about the same time, roughly ... maybe 1979. I started collecting as a teenager.

Then, there was college and the stamps went into the corner somewhere.

Then, there was some time for stamps ... and then work pushed them back into a corner.

And so on, and so on, and so on.

It is a story we (and our collections) share in common.

So ... do you have a particular focus of interest for now? Country, region, topic, time period?

Has the postage rate gone up from Hong Kong? Noticed a letter from HK posted last week to the UK has the $5 Dragon Dance + $2 Port Island stamps..

I collect worldwide.   not too detailed.  not worried about completing sets etc.
just trying to get a good collection of every country that ever had or has stamps.
