This has nothing to do with my stamp collection, but I know some of us here do research of our family history and so I thought I'd share....
I was searching around on more fun history of my ancestors today and found a very cool site related to the Civil War. My great great great etc.? grandfather was Monteville Roberts, from Tennessee and North Georgia... You can google him if you want
. I found out that him and his older sons were some of the men that helped capture the Union soldiers that made up the Andrew's Raid. I somehow ended up on this site that explained the whole story. I thought it was very interesting and so here it is if anyone is interested.
