I believe the 2 Palmyra stamps (5f, 50f) are BOTH revenue stamps, not postal tax stamps. Some of the revenues of that set were overprinted for use as postal tax stamps. Both of the stamps you showed lack the overprint.

I think the cancels on both of your last 2 posts are revenue cancels, including the cancels on the Triumphal Arch definitives. Maybe a postal cancel on the 500f stamp -- can't tell for sure.

Maybe paris can confirm or correct.

Scott # 331. It wasn't clear from Scott which year this particular stamp was issued, the set started in 1954 and continued through 1964.
