Our 5 year old Black Lab, Coco had emergency surgery a few days ago. The vet thought she had a blockage in her intestines.

The vet told us things did not look promising for Coco so he  sent us to a surgical specialist vet. The specialist was more positive about Coco making it though the surgery. And I am very happy to say Coco is doing very well, eating normal, and drinking water by the bowl full.

Yeah the things we do for our pets. I feed my dog 50 lbs of dog food then pick up 100 pounds of dog poop....

Coco is not a fan of the shield of shame.

that Coco has a very speedy recovery.
Did they say what caused the blockage?

Thanks Butterfly, The Doctor could not see what was the cause of the blockage and why her bowel stopped working. He said it should start working again once he "helps" by cleaning some of the blockage up.
My husband is still sleeping in the family room with Coco on a air mattress and even canceled his Canadian fishing trip.
