alanl, gone but not forgotten

I am saddened to inform you all that long time Stamp Bear alanl (aka Alan Latval) has gone to the great stamp vault in the sky.

Despite health problems, he still found the time to copy his Socked-On-Nose canceled Machin stamp images to SeeMyStamps and update all his image links during the pandemic. We're talking ~200 images, so he saved me a lot of time!

Take the time to once again enjoy his threads and remember his love of philately:

Thought I recognised the name, checked my address book and sure enough at some stage I did a stamp exchange with Alan. Loved his S.O.N. machin cancels.
